Veneers – Cosmetic Dentistry a favorite of Dr. Patel

http://www.19thstreetdental.com.
Here is one of my favorite videos about Veneers. Veneers are one of the options to having a whole new look. Cosmetic dentistry at 19th Street Dental in our Atlanta office is something we feel is an excellent alternative to crowns, veneers can perfect your smile by masking stains, hiding chips, correcting misalignment, and creating uniformity. Veneers, which are made of thin, customized material, are designed to slide over the teeth, look incredibly natural, are long lasting, and are relatively easy to apply.

@dtonurozturk : thanks for the reply. In the USA it cost about $1,200 per tooth. We have no national health care in this country yet, so dentists can charge what ever they want

    Prepering a veneer …
Prepering a veneer is harder than a crown, every dentist can make crown but every dentist dont make laminate veneer. And for laboratory prices are higher for laminates, and final thing usually many of the crowns can be cemented with conventional cements, but all of the porcelain lamiinates require adhesive cementation, and that is more difficult and more expensive, these make price differences. But in olur clinic at istanbul, we charge 375 euros per both :) i hope this helps.

I Can’t Get Any Dentist to Give Me a Straight Answer on this Question: How can a dentist possibly justify charging the same price for a veneer as they do for a crown. The prep work is far more extensive for a crown. How can they charge so much for far less work

oh NO don’t get me wrong. ther are some general dentist that i know and do orthodontics better than orthodontist and prep better than prosthodontist and work hard and attende a lot of CE , but i’m saying in general specialists are more qualified but for sure there are exceptions ! :) LOL
    have a good day

sorry drsamo80, but i’m not agree with your comment… well not entirely

Of course that a PROSTHODONTIST is much more qualified than a general dentist who attend to a semester course of cosmetic dentistry.

but I’ve met doctors that they have attend to this course and they are general dentist with 30 years of experience and they do know what are they doing…

well maybe there are exceptions like everything else!! LOL

    no argue at all!!!!

    Have a Good Day!!

    Cheers!!

If he is a “grinder …
If he is a “grinder,” then there is an increased chance that he will experience veneer failure and they will break or come off when he grinds. If that happens, who pays for the replacements, or for the crowns he might need after he keeps braking and popping the veneers?

Theer is a growing chorus of patiens who are experiencing veneer failure, and teh ADA nad FDA have chosen not to track it, so no one even knows how prevelent it is.
