Personally, I find MAC brushes over-rated. The one’s I’ve owned shed early and they are overpriced.
Honestly, I buy my make up brushes at Michael’s craft store or from the artist supply store. These brushes will last a lifetime! Their quality allows them to stand up to multiple washings, varnishes, etc….so make up is a breeze! You can get a wide variety of bristle types…synthetic, natural, etc., and there are many, many shapes for doing different kinds of work.
I’m not putting MAC down…I shop there myself and love it; but when it comes to their brushes, just because it’s in a make up store doesn’t mean they are the best. Honest!

I have the entire set, and I can’t tell the difference between them and my MAC brushes.
They are only $64, which is reasonable for a set that great and coming with 12 good brushes that last like 4 years if you take good care of them.
